Curio Group and Geemec have announced a strategic partnership designed to meet the growing demand for advanced UV and ozone treatment technologies across the UK water industry.
The collaboration combines Curio Group’s ozone expertise and industry partnerships with Geemec’s engineering and installation experience with UV, creating a comprehensive offering that supports utilities from design and build through to long-term operation, compliance, and system optimisation.
In addition to developing new systems, the partnership will also provide service and maintenance support for existing installed UV and ozone systems, ensuring continued compliance and reliable performance.
As many utilities face ageing and, in some cases, obsolete or unsupported UV and ozone assets, Curio and Geemec will also offer retrofit and upgrade solutions to extend system life, improve efficiency, and meet the latest environmental and regulatory standards.
The partnership will deliver a series of “lunch and learn” sessions to help utilities and industrial clients understand and prepare for evolving water quality and micropollutant removal requirements. Through these sessions, Curio and Geemec will work closely with clients to develop tailored ozone, UV, and filtration strategies such as granular and powder activated carbon for the short, medium, and long term.
The partnership will also continue to drive innovation in containerised, plug-and-play UV and ozone systems, enabling rapid deployment of advanced water treatment technologies while addressing capacity and compliance challenges across the sector.
Howard Marles, Chief Executive of Curio Group, said: “The next two AMP cycles are going to see a growing demand for UV treatments as utilities look to improve water quality while supporting their long-term environmental commitments.
“Geemec now joins our growing list of partners as part of this exciting mission. Our ambition is to offer the most comprehensive, beginning-to-end water treatment service using ozone and UV that can be deployed anywhere across the UK’s water infrastructure.”
David Alder, Managing Director of Geemec said: “We are delighted to be working with Curio to help the UK’s water industry deliver the next-generation of UV water treatment solutions across the country. This is an innovative, forward-looking partnership that will aim to bring improved water quality to more customers across the UK and Europe.”
